A 160A 2-in-1 Lift TIG and stick welder that runs on 110V or 220V — post-flow gas control, WP17V torch in the box, $160.99.

Lift TIG is the most forgiving way into TIG: touch the tungsten, lift, and weld. Post-flow keeps shielding gas on the tungsten and weld pool after the arc stops, so your first beads come out clean instead of oxidized. Switch to stick mode when the job is rusty, thick, or outdoors.

Lift TIG

DC · Stainless, titanium, carbon steel

Touch start, no high frequency. Runs a stable DC arc on stainless, titanium, carbon steel, alloy steel, and copper — the metals that punish a sloppy arc.

Stick (MMA)

Thick, rusty, painted steel

Built-in stick mode handles thick plate, carbon steel, low-alloy steel, and cast iron. Outdoor and windy jobs that would blow away TIG shielding gas are business as usual.

Post-Flow Control

Protects the tungsten after the arc

Adjustable post-flow keeps argon flowing after you release the trigger, shielding the hot tungsten and weld pool from oxidation. A feature usually missing on beginner TIG machines.

Dual Voltage

110V household or 220V full output

Plug into a household 110V outlet or a 220V circuit for full 160A output. A 220V conversion cord ships in the box for US and Canada orders.

Built for

  • TIG beginners — Lift TIG start is more forgiving than scratch-start, at a $160.99 entry price.
  • Stainless & precision work — clean DC TIG arcs on stainless, titanium, and carbon steel.
  • Dual-voltage shops — 110V household outlets or 220V for full 160A output.
  • Stick backup — switch to stick mode for rusty or thick steel without a second machine.

Not built for

  • Aluminum — this is a DC machine; aluminum TIG needs AC. See the TIG-250AC.
  • Production lines — DIY / prosumer duty cycle, not 24/7 factory duty.
  • High-frequency TIG features — Lift TIG start, AC output, and pedal control live on the TIG-250AC.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's included in the box?

WP17V TIG torch, electrode holder, ground clamp, 220V conversion cord (US/CA orders), gas hose, and operation manual.

Can it weld aluminum?

No — the TIG-200 is a DC machine. Aluminum requires AC TIG; look at the Simder TIG-250AC.

Does TIG welding need gas?

Yes — 100% argon for steel and stainless. A gas hose is included; you supply the bottle and regulator.

Is it good for beginners?

Yes. Lift TIG start is more forgiving than scratch-start, and post-flow protects your weld while you learn.

Can I use it as a stick welder too?

Yes — 2-in-1 means stick mode is built in. Switch over for rusty, thick, or outdoor work.

Does it support a foot pedal?

The TIG-200 supports current adjustment on the panel; the foot pedal is designed for the TIG-250AC and HF TIG setups.
